The Alchemy Leadership Programme is for people who are seriously interested in effecting personal change in their own lives and in helping others do so too.
The programme enables this personal change to actually happen AND for participants to understand HOW it happened, such that they can sustain the changes, and assist others - their colleagues, teams, and clients.
The programme uses a combination of leading edge transpersonal coaching methodologies and age old distinctions, tools and practices. It is divided into modules that cover the main distinctions of life.
In practical terms, the programme includes:
- 6 learning modules of flexible duration (2, 4, or 8 weeks each).
- 28 learning sessions (30 minutes each) per module.
- 60 minutes coaching conversation per module (Can be more frequent).
- Optional participation in a group coaching conference telephone call each module.
- Practice and integration of specific growth and learning skills.
- Reading of the latest work from the world's leading thinkers in human development.
- Reflection and writing on specified topics and questions.
- Feedback on your assignments by professional leadership coaches.
- Listening to Audios that introduce and explain each module's theme, assignments, and practices.
- Watching a number of movies and video pieces that highlight certain aspects of the material.
- Your own online customised learning lab complete with resources, areas to store your assignments, and a real-time progress measurement tool.
This translates into 30 minutes of practice time per session - every day, or every other day, depending on your choice of programme pace.
The programme is purposely designed to be challenging. It will develop your commitment and responsibility, as well as the major mindsets and capabilities that make living a truly created life possible. The programme will result in significant changes in your awareness, identity, thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
It is important to fully understand at the outset, that this programme is not psychotherapy or psychological counseling of any sort and is only appropriate for those who are physically, emotionally, and psychologically healthy.
What makes the programme distinctive?
- It is designed specifically for people who having achieved much of what they initially set out to, and are now starting to ask those big questions in life: Who am I?, Why do i think, feel, and act the way that I do?, Where am I going? and, How shall i live my life?
- It flows such that the learning is sequenced for greatest impact. Each module builds on the one before, both from a knowledge and acquired skill perspective.
- It uses knowledge that has been developed and published most recently by the world's leading thinkers, educators, academics, and practitioners in the field of human development, and specifically the neuroscience of learning.
- It is designed to include all aspects of the human being: Cognitive, emotional, psychological, and physical. Some might say spiritual too, and by that we just mean the deeper and more fundamental aspects of ourselves.
- It is comprehensive in that it covers the primary perspectives of life: the internal experience or the subjective view, our relationships with others or the intersubjective, the external material world of science and physical objects, and the broader view of society and the world.
- It is designed to affect change in a realistic yet relatively short period of 3, 6, or 12 months. This timeframe is long enough to ensure real embedding of new skills and have new results show up.
- It uses all the primary modes of learning: visually through reading material and watching video, auditory through listening to downloaded MP3s, cognitively through structured reflection, expressively through writing and in conversation, and experientially through the practice of new behavioural skills.
- It uses language that is clear, concise, and straightforward - no mumbo jumbo!
- It uses the latest learning and communication technologies: Internet-based, secure and confidential online participant workspaces, downloadable audio and video context setting and skill development sessions.
- It explicitly develops accountability and integrity by requiring the submission of written reflections throughout each module in order to progress to the next module.
- These written reflections will be reviewed by an experienced professional leadership coach who will respond to your work with relevant, insightful, and useful questions and suggestions - both in written form and during your real-time telephone coaching conversation.
